Faculty of Engineering at Shoubra Organizes Training Course on Legal Aspects of Administrative Work

In line with the directives of Prof. Dr. Nasser El-Gizawy, President of Benha University, and under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Mohamed Saeed Abdel Ghafar, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering at Shoubra, and Prof. Dr. Islam Nazmy, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development, the Faculty organized a training course aimed at enhancing legal awareness and developing the efficiency of administrative staff.

The training course was held under the title:

“Legal Aspects of Administrative Work in Accordance with the Provisions of the Universities Organization Law No. (49) of 1972 and the Civil Service Law No. (81) of 2016.”

The course was organized as part of the activities of the Community Service and Environmental Development Sector at the Faculty, under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Islam Nazmy, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development. It aims to enhance the legal knowledge of administrative staff and familiarize them with their professional rights and duties, as well as the legal regulations governing administrative work.

Ms. Rabab Mohamed Bekhit, Director of the Legal Affairs Department at the Faculty, delivered the training lectures. The course consists of four lectures, which commenced on Monday, June 22, 2026, and will continue until Thursday, July 2, 2026, at the Conference Hall at the Faculty’s premises.

The course aims to improve the level of administrative performance and strengthen compliance with the laws and regulations governing university work, thereby contributing to a more efficient and disciplined work environment.

Faculty Council Meeting Held on Tuesday, June 16, 2026

The Faculty Council of the Faculty of Engineering at Shoubra convened on Tuesday, June 16, 2026, chaired by Prof. Dr. Mohamed Saeed Abdel Ghafar, Dean of the Faculty, and attended by the Vice Deans, Heads of Academic Departments, and Council members.

During the meeting, the Council approved the organization of the Summer Robotics and Artificial Intelligence Program for the children of faculty members and employees of the Faculty, as part of the Faculty’s efforts to support scientific and technological activities, develop young learners’ skills, and encourage innovation and creativity.

The Council also discussed a number of issues related to the educational and research processes and various Faculty affairs. The discussions included following up on the work of examination control committees and the announcement of results, ensuring the progress of graduation projects across the various academic departments, as well as following up on a number of cooperation protocols that contribute to strengthening the Faculty’s academic and community role.

The Council also reviewed an initiative launched by graduates of the Faculty of Engineering at Shoubra to donate toward the establishment and furnishing of a Seminar Hall named after the late Prof. Dr. Ibrahim Shaaban, in recognition of his valuable academic contributions and distinguished career at the Faculty.

Furthermore, the Council approved the organization of the International Conference on Energy and Artificial Intelligence, in cooperation with the Egyptian Engineers Association and the Administrative Development Center of the League of Arab States. This reflects the Faculty’s commitment to supporting scientific research, strengthening cooperation with academic and professional institutions, and keeping pace with the latest developments in the fields of energy and artificial intelligence.

The Council concluded its meeting by adopting a number of decisions and recommendations that support the ongoing development of the Faculty’s work and contribute to achieving its academic, research, and community objectives.
