Dean’s Message – Faculty of Engineering at Shoubra

The Faculty of Engineering at Shoubra, Benha University, was granted institutional accreditation by the National Authority for Quality Assurance and Accreditation of Education (NAQAAE) in 2016. This milestone presented a valuable opportunity for the faculty to enhance its internal systems to a level that ensures high quality and earns the community's trust in both its graduates and community services.

One of the key requirements for renewing accreditation is to demonstrate a continued commitment to improving institutional capacity and educational services. In this context, strategic planning becomes essential. Among the most important objectives of strategic planning is identifying the means by which the faculty can fulfill its mission and strategic educational goals within a defined timeline.

Given my prior role as Director of the Strategic Planning Unit at Benha University from January 2017 to December 2018, I am fully aware of the growing importance of strategic planning, particularly in institutions whose primary output is highly qualified human resources—such as our distinguished faculty, which encompasses a diverse range of scientific disciplines.

Accordingly, the strategic goals and objectives of the faculty were identified through a SWOT analysis of both its internal and external environments. Based on this analysis, the faculty adopted a structured methodology in developing the Strategic Plan 2023–2030.

Finally, I extend my sincere gratitude to everyone who contributed to the successful preparation of this strategic plan. I hold great hope that the collective efforts of all faculty members will bring this plan to life—translating it into tangible achievements and enabling the faculty to attain leadership at the local, regional, and international levels.
