It’s worth mentioning that the means of communication, knowledge and exchange of ideas have become the easiest and simplest things, thanks to the tremendous progress in communications and information technology.

So that, communication and information technology are used in scientific and cultural exchange between peoples, and thus progress of nations is measured by what they possess of science, knowledge, scientific, cultural, artistic and civilizational contributions.

Therefore, all state institutions must highlight their civilization, sciences, arts, and other distinctive signs and features that distinguish them and present all of this for everyone to benefit from.

Hence, the important role of information and communications technology comes in providing various institutions with a window to look out onto the world, both domestically and abroad, displaying their human, material and scientific capabilities, and opening this window to serve users, whether domestically or abroad, to save time and effort in obtaining information or available services.

There are many services provided through the information network which has become used as a means of expressing the value of the institution, its development and its ability to compete.

Whereas the Faculty of Engineering in Shubra, Benha University, is one of the important scientific and engineering strongholds in our beloved country, Egypt, due to its possession of human, material and scientific resources and its presence in the scientific fields since 1961 until now, and it is in continuous progress and development. On the other hand, The Faculty adopts quality as a path in its work policy to move towards local and international accreditation. Therefore, the members of the Faculty of Engineering in Shubra must highlight the features and services that provide by the Faculty and its website in the field of education, learning, scientific research and community service.

The Faculty of Engineering in Shubra provides engineering education services through several specializations and scientific departments as following; Department of Mechanical Engineering, Department of Electrical Engineering, Department of Architectural Engineering, Department of Surveying Engineering, Department of Civil Engineering, and the Department of Mathematics and Engineering Physics, in addition to the new programs that entitled the Industrial Engineering Program and the Energy and Sustainable Energy Engineering Program.

The faculty has been providing postgraduate studies since 1981 until now at the same previous departments and programs.

Therefore, we must express our Faculty in a true image that expresses the value and antiquity of this great scientific edifice, so that it may be a mirror of the present and an eye for the bright future of our dear and beloved country, Egypt which is considered the mother of the world. Hand in hand, we will build our country and the mother of the world, which will be the best in the world, God willing.
