Prof. Dr. Nasser El-Gizawy, President of Benha University, honored the participants in the second edition of the Summer Robotics and Artificial Intelligence School for University Employees’ Children, as part of the University’s commitment to supporting children’s development, enhancing their skills, and encouraging them to learn and innovate in modern technological fields.

The ceremony was attended by Prof. Dr. Gehan Abdel Hady, Vice President of Benha University for Postgraduate Studies and Research; Prof. Dr. Mohamed Saeed, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering at Shoubra; and a number of faculty members and trainers involved in implementing the Summer School activities.

Prof. Dr. Nasser El-Gizawy expressed his pleasure at honoring the participating children and extended his appreciation to those responsible for organizing the Summer School at the Faculty of Engineering at Shoubra for their efforts in training the children and making productive use of their summer vacation.

Prof. Dr. El-Gizawy emphasized that the Summer School represents an inspiring educational experience that contributes to developing children’s skills and building their scientific and creative capabilities from an early age. He noted that robotics and artificial intelligence have become among the most important innovative educational tools that help children develop critical and creative thinking, encourage them to think outside the box, and find innovative solutions to problems.

The University President added that organizing the Summer School reflects Benha University’s commitment to developing the skills of employees’ children and enhancing their capabilities in robotics, artificial intelligence, and electronics through practical and interactive training and the implementation of real-world projects within an engaging educational environment.

He further explained that the Summer School contributes to preparing a generation capable of keeping pace with rapid technological developments while developing skills in innovation, creativity, teamwork, and problem-solving. This helps build children’s capabilities and prepare them for the demands of the future, contributing to a more advanced and innovative future.

It is worth noting that the Summer School activities included an introduction to the world of robotics, training in the fundamentals of electronics, programming, and control, as well as an introduction to artificial intelligence. Participants also implemented a number of practical projects while developing their teamwork, creative thinking, and problem-solving skills.

Prof. Dr. Mohamed Saeed Abdel Ghafar, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering at Shoubra – Benha University, along with the Faculty’s Vice Deans, Department Heads, faculty members, and administrative staff, extends their sincere congratulations to the Faculty’s students who achieved outstanding results in the Phenomena Competition, organized by the General Administration of Libraries at Benha University, under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Nasser El-Gizawy, President of Benha University, and Prof. Dr. Gehan Abdel Hady, Vice President of Benha University for Postgraduate Studies and Research.

The judging results announced the following achievements:

? First Place – Artistic Category
Student Mohamed Ahmed Ragab – Faculty of Engineering at Shoubra, under the supervision of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Aya Hossam El-Din Mahmoud, Associate Professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering.

? First Place – Scientific Category
Student Hamdy Mohamed Abdel Hamid – Faculty of Engineering at Shoubra, under the supervision of Dr. Abdel Ghany Badeer, Lecturer in the Department of Basic Sciences.

? Second Place – Team Category
The Faculty of Engineering at Shoubra team, comprising:

The team competed under the supervision of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Aya Hossam El-Din Mahmoud, Associate Professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering.

The Faculty’s participation in the competition was carried out under the supervision of the Youth Welfare Administration at the Faculty of Engineering at Shoubra.

It is worth noting that the competition witnessed strong participation and distinguished competition among students from various faculties of Benha University, aiming to showcase their creativity and innovations across the artistic and scientific categories. A total of 23 projects were submitted and classified according to the nature of the submitted works within the two competition categories.
