Today, Tuesday, February 18, 2025, the Faculty Council was held under the chairmanship of Professor Dr. Gamal Abdelaziz, Dean of the Faculty, in the presence of the vice deans, department heads, and a group of professors and faculty members who are council members.

Meeting of the Faculty Dean with Two Faculty Graduates Holding Project Manager Positions in UAE Companies

As part of the ongoing collaboration between Shoubra Faculty of Engineering and relevant community stakeholders, Prof. Dr. Gamal Abdelaziz, Dean of the Faculty, received Eng. Islam Barakat, a 2003 graduate of the Geomatics Engineering Department and Project Manager at SAFEEN SUBSEA in the United Arab Emirates, and Eng. Ahmed Helmy, a 2004 graduate of the same department and Project Manager at SULMARA in the United Arab Emirates, in his office on the afternoon of Monday, February 17, 2025.

It is worth noting that both companies are among the largest in the Middle East specializing in marine surveying and offshore pipeline installation.

The meeting was attended by Prof. Dr. Mahmoud Salah, Head of the Geomatics Engineering Department, and Dr. Karim Rashwan, Director of the Faculty’s Engineering Studies and Consultancy Center. The discussion focused on employment and training opportunities available for the faculty’s graduates at both companies.

Additionally, both companies expressed their full readiness to provide workshops and seminars upon the faculty’s request to help students enhance their skills and prepare them for the local, regional, and international job markets.
