Students of the Faculty of Engineering – Shoubra Win Top Prizes at the 4th Scientific Conference for Applied Sciences at Benha University

On the sidelines of the 4th Scientific Conference for Applied Sciences organized by Benha University, the 4th Student Conference was held on Thursday, May 8, 2025, with wide participation from students across the university's scientific faculties. Students presented innovative research and projects that demonstrated their academic skills and research directions in applied fields.

The Faculty of Engineering – Shoubra contributed eight distinguished student research papers in the field of artificial intelligence and its applications in engineering systems. These papers were evaluated by specialized scientific committees, and the results led to the nomination of four research papers from the Communication and Computer Engineering Program (New Programs) to compete for the top three spots at the university level.

First Place:

  • Research Title: "Advanced Automotive Safety Mechanisms Connected With Mobile Application"

A scientific committee chaired by Prof. Dr. Gamal El-Sayed Abdel-Aziz, Dean of the Faculty, and consisting of Prof. Dr. Lamia El-Rifai and Prof. Dr. Hana El-Aboumagd, supervised the submission, review, and evaluation of the faculty’s student research.

In a New Achievement Added to the Record of the Faculty of Engineering – Shoubra,
the Faculty Wins Second Place in the University’s Best Website Competition (Second Edition)

The Faculty of Engineering in Shoubra proudly secured second place in the second edition of the Best University Website Competition among the faculties of Benha University.

Prof. Dr. Gamal Abdel Aziz, Dean of the Faculty, praised this outstanding accomplishment and extended his sincere thanks and appreciation to Dr. Islam Abdelkawy, Director of the IT Unit, and Dr. Abeer Sami, Deputy Director of the IT Unit for Electronic Portal Affairs, for their excellent efforts in supervising the development and modernization of the faculty’s website.

He also expressed gratitude to Engineer Ahmed Maher for his exceptional performance and significant contribution to the IT Unit team, which played a vital role in elevating the faculty’s website to this advanced level.

The Dean also commended the support and effective contributions of the faculty vice-deans, academic departments, programs, various units, and administrative offices, all of whom contributed greatly to achieving this distinguished recognition.

It is worth mentioning that the website of the Faculty of Engineering – Shoubra is continuously evolving in terms of its electronic services and is regularly updated to showcase the faculty’s latest activities and achievements.
