The Science, Technology & Innovation Funding Authority (STDF) is pleased to announce the opening of applications for the First Call of the BRICS 2025 Innovation Projects Funding Program. This program aims to support multilateral innovative projects that foster international collaboration between researchers, academic institutions, and industry, with a focus on transforming scientific research outcomes into marketable products and services that contribute to economic and social development in BRICS countries.
? Eligibility & Requirements:

Each project must include a consortium of at least two partners from different BRICS countries, whether from academia or industry.

Projects must be based on technologies that have already been validated in a laboratory or relevant environment, with a strong focus on advancing toward commercial application.

Expected outcomes should include a prototype or a system tested in an operational environment.
? Funding & Duration:
STDF will support the Egyptian research proposal with funding of up to 10 million EGP per project, covering research team costs, equipment, patents, prototypes, scientific publications, as well as events and travel. The funded projects may extend for up to 3 years.
? Application Process & Deadlines:

The international consortium must submit the Joint Application Form (JAF) no later than 5 November 2025 – 3:00 PM (Moscow time, UTC+3) via the electronic submission platform:

The Egyptian Principal Investigator must also submit the JAF, the full research proposal, and all required documents no later than 12 November 2025 through the STDF online portal:
