Academic Departments and Programs under the Two-Semester System:

  1. Department of Basic Sciences

  2. Department of Mechanical Engineering (Mechanical Power Engineering Program / Mechanical Design and Production Engineering Program)

  3. Department of Electrical Engineering (Electrical Power and Machines Engineering Program / Communications and Electronics Engineering Program / Computer Systems Engineering Program)

  4. Department of Civil Engineering (General Civil Engineering Program / Structural Engineering Program)

  5. Department of Architectural Engineering, which includes the Architectural Engineering Program.

  6. Department of Geomatics Engineering, which includes the Geomatics Engineering Program.

Additionally, the faculty offers five other programs under the credit hour system (fee-based programs), which are not covered by these bylaws.

The university awards a Bachelor's degree in one of the following specializations:

  1. Mechanical Engineering (Mechanical Power Engineering)

  2. Mechanical Engineering (Mechanical Design and Production Engineering)

  3. Civil Engineering (General)

  4. Civil Engineering (Structural Engineering)

  5. Electrical Engineering (Electrical Power and Machines Engineering)

  8. Architectural Engineering

  9. Geomatics Engineering

Objectives of the Faculty:

The Faculty of Engineering at Shoubra aims to graduate engineers in various disciplines who are capable of contributing to the rapid developmental progress in our beloved Egypt, through the following objectives:

  1. To provide an outstanding educational service, using advanced learning strategies, while adhering to professional ethics and teamwork. This supports students' ability to innovate and pursue entrepreneurship.

  2. To prepare students for a successful professional future by equipping them with the necessary analytical and experimental tools to solve engineering problems and design components, systems, and processes that meet high technical specifications while considering ethical aspects and social responsibility.

  3. To provide students with the foundational engineering sciences needed to keep up with the continuous development in engineering and technological fields and their applications across various sectors.

  4. To serve as an effective source of qualified engineering expertise that aligns with labor market needs and the accompanying developments through training and providing consultancy to governmental and industrial bodies in the local and international communities.

  5. To prepare graduates for postgraduate studies and scientific research, enabling the faculty to offer innovative solutions to life quality issues and contribute to advancing economic development and environmental growth.

  6. To equip students with the necessary skills for communication and teamwork, ensuring they are prepared for responsibility and lifelong learning, making them reliable in facing challenging engineering problems.
