Faculty of Engineering at Shoubra – Benha University Continues to Achieve Excellence with Funding and Recognition for an Outstanding Computer Engineering Graduation Project

Reaffirming its leadership, the Faculty of Engineering at Shoubra proudly celebrates the remarkable success of a team of Computer Engineering students who developed an exceptional graduation project titled "On-board Diagnostics System Using Large Language Model."

The project secured funding from Swift Act, a company specializing in embedded software solutions for sectors such as automotive and aviation—highlighting the scientific and practical value of the idea. The system is an advanced on-board diagnostics platform powered by a large language model that functions offline, capable of predictive maintenance and fault detection through a car dashboard interface and a mobile application.

Beyond receiving funding, the team also competed in a contest organized by Swift Act among all funded projects, achieving second place at the company-wide level. This accomplishment reflects the students’ high-level skills, dedication, and ability to excel in a professional environment.

On this occasion, Prof. Dr. Ali Abdelaziz, Dean of the Faculty, Prof. Dr. Mahmoud Salah, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs, and Prof. Dr. Lamia El-Refai, former Chair of the Electrical Engineering Department and project supervisor, extended their heartfelt congratulations to the outstanding team:

  • Mostafa Abdallah Mostafa Mansour

  • Shady Bahaa El-Qass Ibrahim

  • Marwan Mohamed Shaaban Ahmed

  • Mostafa Shokry El-Kamel Mohamed

  • Eman Mohamed Abdelhamid Abdelwahab

They praised the dedicated efforts to support students and guide them toward excellence, affirming that such achievements enhance the Faculty’s standing and reinforce Benha University’s reputation as a leading educational institution producing graduates capable of innovation and competing in the job market.
