Prof.Dr. Nasser EL-Gizaway, the university president announces that the university maintains its ranking as one of top Ten Egyptian Universities in Webmetrics rankings of citations 2024. The university citations has been increased by 246.127 compared to the last version that is estimated by 32.652, so the University obtains the 9^th position among 50 Egyptian universities and it also obtains the position of 1099 among 5630 research institutions and Universities around the world. Prof. Dr. Nasser El Gizawy, Benha University Vice-president for Post Graduate Studies and Researches' Affairs said that the Researcher/ Samar Mahmoud, the Assistant Lecturer at the Faculty of Medicine has got the doctoral thesis about " Stem cell transplant" throughout a joint supervision scholarship obtained to the Researcher within the Newton-Mosharafa program, where the Researcher completed her studies at Manchester University Hospitals for Children in England.
It is worth mentioning that the supervision committee from the Egyptian side: Dr. Mohamed El-Bakry, the professor of pediatrics at BU and former head of the department, Dr. Sameh Zaki, the lecturer of pediatrics at BU, and from the British side: Dr. Robert Wayne, professor of pediatric hematology at the University of Manchester in England.

Benha University signs a cooperation protocol with the directorate of education in Qulubia governorate to create websites for the governorates' schools. This protocol is signed in the presence of prof.Dr. Gamal EL-Saeed, the university president, prof.Dr. Nasser EL-Gizaway, the vice president of post-graduate studies, Mr. Taha Aglan, the deputy of the ministry of education, prof.Dr. Tarek EL-shistaway, the IT advisor, Mrs. Samia Abd EL-Hameed, the secretary-general of the University, prof.Dr. Shady EL-Mashad, the IT Portal head and Mrs. Fawzia Ismail, the coordinator of the project in the directorate.

The university president inspects the sanitizing procedures in the faculties of the education and commerce in addition to the University hostels in Kafr- Saad respectively. He was accompanied by the deans of the faculties of education and commerce, the general supervisor of the University's hostels and Mr. Refaat Nan, the assistant secretary general of the administrative affairs.

The administration of the University’s hostels says that the admission will be opened from 6-8-2017 to 30-8-2017 for the senior students and the new-comers.  The administration also says that there are 15-days to accept the new-comers as the student should apply to the university’s hostel right away after getting enrolled in his faculty.  

The university leaders council, under the presidency of prof.Dr. EL-Sayed EL-Kady, the university president, approves to apply the Healthcare insurance service to the faculty’s members within Benha University and its hospitals.
