Under the auspices of Prof. Gamal El Saeed, Benha University President; the University participated in the Virtual Forum for Higher Education between China, France, and Africa which organized by the Chinese Wuhan University in the duration from 29 to 30 October 2020 under the title of " Higher education under the impact of the Corona epidemic". The forum included two main topics, namely the development of teaching methods in higher education and the possibility of using international relations between educational institutions in training their employees. The official language of the conference was French.
It is worth mentioning that Benha University was represented by Prof. Hassan El Bahrawy, the professor of French literature at the faculty of arts.
Ministry of Higher Education starts the Interdisciplinary Research Excellence Programme
Prof. Dr. Nasser El Gizawy, Benha University Vice-president for Post Graduate Studies and Researches ' Affairs said that the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research with collaboration of the Egyptian Knowledge Bank "EKB" announced the launching of the Interdisciplinary Research Excellence Programme, which is a comprehensive capacity-building training programme to strengthen interdisciplinary research in Egyptian universities and to advance research integration and implementation in society to address complex real-world problems in Egypt, including achievement of Sustainable Development Goals. El Gizawy added that the programme includes interactive live sessions online which will combine expert content delivery with hands-on practical exercises and discussion through the individual and group activities. The Faculties’ Members Discuss How to Develop the Higher Education and the Scientific Research in Benha University’s leaders council
Benha University’s leaders council discusses, in its weekly meeting which is held under the supervision of prof.Dr. EL-Sayed El-kady, the university president, the vision of how to develop the higher education and the scientific research. Prof.Dr. Eman El-Bitar, the head of hygiene department in the faculty of medicine and the member of the assigned team to present such a vision. This team includes 54 lecturers, assistant lecturers and professors in the university and the tem is headed by prof. Dr. Muhammad Abu Slim, the dean of veterinary medicine and prof. Dr. Ezat el-khiat, the head of the faculties’ members club in the university. The council heaps praise on what the team has agreed upon regarding qualifying the students to meet the demands of the labor market, the reasons why the students refrain from participating in the activities, preparing new curriculums which meet the demands of the labor market, developing the current curriculums in order to develop the educational process and increasing the salaries of the faculties’ members without burdening the state.
