Objectives
Objectives of the Unit:

Promote a culture of digital transformation in assessment and evaluation systems to improve educational outcomes and raise awareness of the ethical code of conduct in assessment and examinations.

Establish and develop the infrastructure at the Faculty of Engineering, Shoubra, for the use of modern systems to manage assessment, evaluation, and examination processes.

Enhance theoretical, practical, and oral assessment systems, and develop modern evaluation tools and methods to ensure the achievement of the intended learning outcomes.

Implement and expand the use of question banks, and achieve the standard benchmarks for the adoption of question banks and examination automation (electronic exams, electronic grading, and exam result analysis) to ensure fairness, transparency, and efficiency in the assessment process across all academic programs.

Prepare digital transformation manuals for assessment and evaluation systems to ensure the quality of evaluation and examination processes in accordance with the academic standards adopted by the faculty.

Measure stakeholder satisfaction regarding digital transformation in the field of assessment and evaluation.

Develop and introduce modern assessment systems for written, practical, oral, and applied exams, including systems tailored to students with special needs, in accordance with advanced assessment practices.

Train qualified staff members from faculty and teaching assistants across academic departments and programs on question bank creation and updates, as well as automated grading of objective paper-based tests using specialized electronic tools and software to enhance educational outcomes.

Establish assessment and evaluation committees within the academic programs to drive continuous improvement and development in educational outcomes.

Review and prepare annual reports on general examination performance and student results, and develop action plans for corrective measures to address weaknesses and reinforce strengths.
