Instructions for Faculty Members on Uploading and Providing Course Materials to Students On Thinqi

Instructions for Faculty Members on Uploading and Providing Course Materials to Students:

All faculty members are kindly requested to follow the steps below to upload and make their teaching materials available to students:

  1. Log in to the Thinqi platform as a faculty member at the Faculty of Engineering – Shoubra, Benha University via the following link:    https://sso.eetest.online

Important Note:
Use your university email and national ID number to log in.

  1. Select Thinqi LMS, then choose Course Guide, as shown in the figure below:

  1. Click on Manage Courses

  1. Select the course in which you wish to upload the academic content.

  2. Build the course content. You can refer to a short instructional video on how to upload content via the following link:

6. After completing the upload of course content—including files, pages, sections, discussions, and assignments—publish the course by clicking the “Publish” button, as shown in the following figure:

7. Select the course you wish to publish, then follow the on-screen instructions to complete the publishing process, as shown in the figure below:

  1. Now, to begin adding students to the course:

Click on Cohorts from the left-hand menu, then click on 1 Group.

This step allows you to manage student enrollment by assigning them to specific groups within the course.

  1. Click on Update Cohort State

  1. Click on Active, then click Next.

  1. Then select Set state to Active.

  1. The final step is linking the student to their respective courses.

    If the student will access the course directly, you need to allow course self-enrollment by doing the following:

  • From the left-hand menu, under Tools Instructor, click on Settings.

  • Enable Self-registration and Registration Code, then copy the code and share it with the students enrolled in the course.

13. When the course code is shared with students, they should log in using their personal accounts via the following link:
https://sso.eetest.online

Then the student selects Course Guide.

14. The student then clicks on Enroll via registration code, enters the code shared by the course instructor, and clicks Enroll.

The student is now successfully enrolled in the course and can access the content, complete assignments, and participate in all educational activities available on the Thinqi platform

Final Important Note for Faculty Members:
It is highly recommended to keep the Course Version updated automatically by clicking on Change Version and selecting Automatic Update.

Alternatively, if there are specific updates to the course content, you can manually choose the version you wish to publish.

This ensures that students always have access to the latest version of the course materials.

Participation in the International Climate Conference – June 2024

Shoubra Faculty of Engineering – Benha University participated in the activities of the “International Conference on Climate and Environment” (2nd Edition) and its accompanying exhibition on Wednesday, June 5, 2024. The event was organized by the School of Continuing Education at Nile University in collaboration with the “Engineers for a Sustainable Egypt” initiative, and was held under the patronage of the League of Arab States, the Ministry of Environment, and the Ministry of Water Resources and Irrigation.

The faculty showcased several graduation project outputs by its students, including robotic devices resulting from master's theses and final-year projects.

Representing the faculty at the conference were the Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development, several heads of academic departments, the Director of the Career Development Center, and the coordinator of the cooperation protocol with the “Engineers for a Sustainable Egypt” initiative.

The conference aimed to raise public awareness of environmental and climate issues and to present graduation project outcomes that support environmental sustainability goals. It featured discussions on various pressing topics including climate change, environmental challenges, and water-related issues.

Workshop on "Sustainable Development and Egypt's Vision 2030"

Under the patronage of the Dean of the Faculty and the Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development, and within the framework of collaboration with the initiative “Engineers for a Sustainable Egypt”, the Career Development Center at Shoubra Faculty of Engineering – Benha University organized a workshop titled “Sustainable Development and Egypt's Vision 2030” on Tuesday, May 7, 2024, held in the meeting hall at the Khalfawy building.

The event was attended by Prof. Dr. Ayman El-Shehaby, Dean of the Faculty, Prof. Dr. Ali Abdelaziz, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development, Prof. Dr. Sahar Abdelrahman, Director of the Career Development Center, a number of faculty members and teaching assistants, as well as students from different academic levels.

The workshop aimed to introduce the concepts of governance and digital transformation, and to promote the culture of sustainable urban development in support of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in line with Egypt’s Vision 2030.

Speakers at the workshop included:

  • Dr. Hazem Awad, Board Member and Head of the Governance and Digital Transformation Committee of the initiative

  • Eng. Mohamed Kamel, Head of the “Engineers for a Sustainable Egypt” Initiative

  • Eng. Shehab Farag, Director of Digital Construction at Autodesk

The session concluded with an open discussion with the students, followed by a presentation of key recommendations, including:

  • The importance of regularly holding similar workshops

  • Raising awareness about governance and digital transformation

  • Enhancing knowledge on sustainable development, environmental awareness, and sustainable cities.
