As part of the faculty’s commitment to monitoring workflow and enhancing institutional performance, the Faculty Council convened on Wednesday, March 18, 2026, under the chairmanship of Prof. Dr. Mohamed Saeed Abdelghaffar, Dean of the Faculty.
The Council discussed a number of important topics, most notably:

Reviewing the assignment issued by Prof. Dr. Nasser El-Gizawy, President of the University, regarding the amendment of regulations and the formation of a specialized committee.

Organizing visits to 57357 Hospital and El-Rish Hospital as part of strengthening the faculty’s community engagement role.

Enhancing the efficiency of administrative staff in the Education and Student Affairs Department to improve the quality of services provided.

Supporting and activating the role of the Innovation and Creativity Unit within the faculty.

Ministry of Higher Education Launches Cloud Computing Platform to Support Egyptian Universities and Research Centers
As part of its ongoing efforts to enhance digital transformation and develop the technological infrastructure in Egyptian universities, the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research has announced the launch of a new cloud computing platform. This platform enables universities, institutes, and research centers to leverage the latest digital technologies in education and scientific research.
Dr. Ayman Ashour, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, stated that the launch of the cloud platform aligns with the ministry’s strategy to support digital transformation, improve educational efficiency, and provide an advanced technological infrastructure that allows researchers and faculty members fast and secure access to the latest global tools for data analysis and academic/research application management.
The platform aims to:

Provide a secure and reliable environment for data storage and operation of academic and research applications.

Enable universities to use advanced tools for big data processing and information analysis.

Support educational programs in artificial intelligence, data science, and digital transformation.

Offer high-performance computing capabilities to meet the needs of all universities.

Enhance integration between digital platforms and systems within the higher education ecosystem.

Ensure ease of access and use from anywhere, at any time, boosting academic and research productivity.
Dr. Sherif Kishk, Assistant Minister for Digital Transformation, emphasized that the new platform represents a significant step toward developing an advanced research environment within Egyptian universities. It empowers educational institutions to utilize the latest cloud computing and data science technologies while promoting digital integration across academic platforms.
The launch of the cloud computing platform is part of the state’s strategy for comprehensive digital transformation in higher education and research, keeping pace with global developments and enhancing the competitiveness of Egyptian universities regionally and internationally. It also supports the ministry’s efforts to develop the digital capabilities of students and faculty members.
The ministry has launched a secure cloud computing platform for AI research, available to faculty members and researchers in Egyptian universities and research centers, in collaboration with the Information Systems Department of the Ministry of Defense. Access the platform here:
