Architecture is undoubtedly the true expression of civilization throughout the ages, and the signs of civilization in Egypt are numerous and diverse, starting from the ancient Egyptian civilization to the Greek, Coptic, and Islamic periods.
Architecture and urban planning are key pillars in the development of both human beings and societies. Studying architecture is not an easy task, as it
relies not only on engineering sciences but also on the humanities. The preparation of an architect goes beyond study and knowledge acquisition; it involves building character and enhancing the student's skills in criticism, analysis, and expression. This is achieved through the interactive brainstorming and visual and analytical studies in design studios between faculty members, assistants, and students.
The faculty, assistants, and students of the Department of Architecture are continually observing, analyzing, and documenting the Egyptian reality and its impact on architecture and urban planning. This makes them one of the key pillars in building modern civilization.
