About the Geomatics Engineering Department
The Geomatics Engineering Department was established at the college in 1963, and it is the only department in Egyptian engineering colleges specializing in Geomatics Engineering. It has been a unique entity in this field, serving the Egyptian, Arab, and African communities for more than 45 years by training skilled technical personnel with extensive expertise in this vital engineering domain. Geomatics sciences are essential in most civil projects and infrastructure works, such as roads and utilities, requiring graduates who are proficient in modern technologies and equipment, along with a solid theoretical background in Geomatics.
The department stands out with several key characteristics, the most notable being a balanced student-to-faculty ratio that meets the needs of the field. It also benefits from a large number of faculty members and assistants with expertise from diverse academic backgrounds, including the United States, the United Kingdom, Germany, Austria, Russia, and the Czech Republic.
The Geomatics Engineering Bachelor's program is taught over eight semesters, during which students study various trends related to Geomatics sciences, preparing them to work across different specializations in this field.
