It has been decided that the summer training for successful students promoted to the first- and second-year levels of the General Track Programs will commence on Saturday, July 5.
The training period will be either:

Three weeks, at a rate of five days per week and eight training hours per day, or
-
Four weeks, at a rate of five days per week and six training hours per day.
It should be noted that students whose absence rate from training exceeds 25% will be subject to deprivation rules.
The final deadline for discussing the summer training and field training will be the last week of September, and the training results shall be approved by the Head of Department and the Department Council in September 2025.

As part of welcoming new students, a reception ceremony was held today, Tuesday, September 23, 2025, with the attendance of Prof. Dr. Ali Abdelaziz – Dean of the Faculty, Prof. Dr. Mahmoud Salah – Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs, Prof. Dr. Hanaa Abu El-Magd – Head of the Basic Sciences Department, Prof. Dr. Reda Abdelkader – Student Activities Coordinator, Mr. Khaled Mostafa – General Director of the Faculty, along with a number of faculty members, student union representatives, and members of the Youth Welfare Office.
During the event, the Dean welcomed the new students and emphasized the importance of adhering to student conduct, university ethics, and values.
The Vice Dean also gave the students an orientation session highlighting various educational aspects, while student societies presented their key achievements.
The ceremony concluded with honoring a number of distinguished student union members in recognition of their efforts and accomplishments.

24 Researchers from Benha University Ranked Among the World’s Top 2% Scientists for 2025 According to Stanford University Study
Prof. Dr. Nasser El-Gizawy, President of Benha University, announced that Stanford University has released its list of the “Top 2% of World Scientists”, which includes more than 236,000 scientists from 168 countries, classified into 22 scientific fields and 174 sub-specialties based on the Scopus database.
The list features 24 researchers from Benha University, including 6 distinguished scholars from the Faculty of Engineering, Shoubra, across different scientific fields. The full list can be viewed at the following link:

Prof. Dr. El-Gizawy emphasized that the inclusion of Benha University’s scholars in this prestigious international ranking is a significant achievement, reflecting the quality and impact of their research outputs. He noted that the results are based on Elsevier’s Scopus database and were recently published in PLOS Biology.
He further explained that this recognition highlights the dedicated efforts of the university’s faculty members to advance scientific research and increase the number of publications in high-impact international journals, supported by the university’s continuous commitment to enhancing research quality.
Prof. Dr. Gehan Abdelhady also stressed the importance of correctly affiliating research outputs to Benha University (and not to individual faculties or departments) in Scopus profiles, to ensure accurate representation of the university’s scholarly impact.
On this occasion, the President of the University extended his warm congratulations to all the researchers who made it to the list, wishing them continued success and progress in their scientific careers.
