President of Benha University Attends Closing Ceremony of the Summer Robotics School at the Faculty of Engineering at Shoubra and Honors Winners of the Late Prof. Dr. Ibrahim Shaaban Competition

President of Benha University Attends Closing Ceremony of the Summer Robotics School at the Faculty of Engineering at Shoubra and Honors Winners of the Late Prof. Dr. Ibrahim Shaaban Competition

Prof. Dr. Nasser El-Gizawy, President of Benha University; Prof. Dr. Gamal El-Saeed, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Benha National University; and Prof. Dr. Mohamed Saeed, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering at Shoubra, attended the ceremony marking the conclusion of the Summer Robotics School and the awarding of certificates to participating students, as well as honoring the winning teams in the competition held in memory of the late Prof. Dr. Ibrahim Shaaban. The events were held at the Faculty of Engineering at Shoubra.

The ceremony was attended by Prof. Dr. Tamer Samir, President of Benha National University; Prof. Dr. Ayman El-Shahaby, former Dean of the Faculty and former Governor of Damietta; Prof. Dr. Osama Kamal, former Vice President of Benha University; along with the Faculty’s vice deans and faculty members, Summer Robotics School students, competition participants, and members of the judging committee.

During his speech, Prof. Dr. Nasser El-Gizawy emphasized that the Faculty of Engineering at Shoubra is one of the University’s distinguished scientific institutions. Throughout its long history, the Faculty has successfully graduated prominent academic and executive leaders who have made significant contributions both within and beyond the University.

He also praised the concept of the Summer Robotics School, describing it as an inspiring experience that contributes to developing children’s skills and building their scientific and creative capabilities from an early age.

The President of Benha University directed that the possibility of expanding the Summer Robotics School experience to the Benha University campus be studied, given its important role in discovering talents and developing young people’s skills. He also stressed the importance of thinking outside the box, continuously developing skills, and gaining practical experience to provide students with a competitive advantage and enable them to implement real-world projects that contribute to building strong professional portfolios, meeting labor market needs, and enhancing productivity.

For his part, Prof. Dr. Gamal El-Saeed praised the closing ceremony of the Summer Robotics School and commended the launch of the competition in memory of the late Prof. Dr. Ibrahim Shaaban, in recognition
